It looks like this project hasn't been touched in a while. Would you like help maintaining it? I mean merging the handful of PRs here, helping @amitu do a pypi release from a git tag, and helping @proinsias get his conda-forge recipe accepted.
If all this is under the radar (after all it's 38 LOC), we can just fork, give you full attribution, and start maintaining the version we package elsewhere so you don't have to worry about it.
