fcitx5-fbterm and gtk dependency

There is no discussions or issues available for fcitx5-fbterm, so asking here

I'm curious why fcitx5-fbterm has gtk dependency (via fcitx5-gtk dependency), as in my understanding fbterm is focused on tty, and shouldn't be dependent on anything GUI. Am I missing something?

There is a glib only library in the same repo.
It's not split into two for ease for management.

If you compile it yourself it's possible to disable all gtk dependencies.
