ERROR in EasyFormsModule is not an NgModule

Installed the package as per the readme and setup following the example, I am using @angular/cli to build and get the following error

ERROR in EasyFormsModule is not an NgModule

Using Angular 2 v4.0.2

Has anyone encountered this issue and how does one resolve?
