Feature Request: Add :Copilot Ask FastCommand for Quick Inline Queries

I’ve noticed that the Copilot Chat feature is still being explored (here)

In the meantime, I would like to propose a lightweight feature that could provide immediate value: a "FastCommand"` interface for quick, inline queries.

Proposed Feature:

Introduce a command such as: :Copilot Ask center the div

This command would send the prompt directly to Copilot and apply the result to the current file buffer (or return an inline suggestion), without requiring a full chat interface.

• what would be the context of your quick chat? (open buffers? current one? selection?...)
• if the context is a whole 1000 lines HTML document: which div to center? where to insert the suggestion?

For what you ask, CopilotChat is what I would use (but with the adequate workflow)

I believe I already clarified this when I mentioned the current file buffer as the context.

Regarding the second point, modern LLMs are generally capable of inferring which div should be centered from the surrounding code. That said, anyone who has worked with LLM prompting knows it’s also straightforward to refer to a specific line number, block, or function name when more precision is needed.

Tools like Cursor don’t do much more than include the relevant line numbers or surrounding text in the context. In practice, writing changes back to the file usually requires even more context, so the file often ends up being read in its entirety - the file being edited - anyway.

Thanks for recommending CopilotChat, I don't think it fits my use,
