KDE 6.7 Wayland Session Management

Is this script still needed after the latest KDE Plasma 6.7 update?
I saw that they added a new session restore system in 6.7.
Do we still need to use this script to keep our window positions, or does native KDE handle it now?

I've only started using the Wayland session in the past couple of weeks. I've always had Session Restore set to launch apps that were open on last logout. It opens them, but everything is in the center of the screen. That's what this script solves, although I haven't used it yet. I'm trying to understand how it works in order to do something much simpler.

If you always want an application to open with the same location, this can be done without this script. Put the window where you always want it, Alt-F3 > More Actions > Configure Special Window Settings > Add Property and select Position. Apply, Ok. Now that application will always open in that location.
