Summary

This PR moves the workflows from release 0.4.0 to 0.12.0 of the shared CCPBioSim workflows. Closes #473, and supersedes Renovate PR #464.

Changes

• Pin every shared workflow to release 0.12.0.
• Run the lowest-dependencies check as a step in each Unit leg, using lowest-dependencies-check: true on ci-test-python. This replaces the two ci-lowest-dependencies calls, which no longer exist, and the separate dependency-floors workflow.
• Move the unit tests from a weekday schedule to a weekly one. daily.yaml becomes weekly-tests.yaml and runs on Mondays with the other weekly workflows, now including the lowest-dependencies check.
• Report coverage from a separate Coverage job. Only one unit leg measures coverage, and the other legs run without the coverage overhead.
• Use the shared Python defaults instead of the 3.15 overrides.
• Update the README badge and the developer guide to match.

Testing

• Checked every shared workflow call against the inputs of the 0.12.0 workflows.
  • Pull request checks pass
  • Each Unit leg runs Run tests at the lowest dependencies and passes
  • The Coverage job runs and Coveralls reports on this PR

Impact

• No change to the package code.
• Unit tests on the default branch now run once a week instead of every weekday, so an upstream breakage can take up to a week to show. Pull requests and Renovate PRs still run the full checks.
• Each Unit leg now runs the tests twice, so those jobs take longer. The number of jobs does not increase.
• Docs, pre-commit and coverage now run on Python 3.14 instead of 3.15.
• Coverage is measured on ubuntu-24.04 with Python 3.14 only.
• The check names Lowest dependencies, Daily Unit Tests and the old Coverage job no longer exist. If branch protection requires any of them, it needs updating.
