…g, logs, packaging - Degeneration fallback re-encodes the prompt after dropping vectors, so the unsteered retry no longer tells the model they are still active. - apply()/drop() called between steps now match the model's own tool calls: one full-strength steered turn, and a COOLDOWN_TURNS-long cooldown. - A harness's leading system message is merged into the steering prompt instead of producing two system messages. - steer rejects non-finite strengths (inf), not just NaN. - Raise on zero/non-finite vector norms instead of steering with NaN. - torch.load uses map_location="cpu"; extraction always removes its hook. - Demo logs: record the --seed prompt, log inputs under the turn they feed, and rename the "decay" event to "steering_state" (replay reads both). - Add pyproject.toml (pip install -e .) and drop unused config constants. Two things:
1. README banner. On
mainthe banner is broken: the README points toModular_Mysteries__An_Alchemical_Atlas.png(double underscore), and the image itself was removed in 42051a7 after a web rename turned it into a one-line file. This adds the real PNG (2055×765) and points the README at it.2. Review fixes that never reached
main. #4 was stacked on #3, but #3 merged first, so #4 merged into therename-to-modulobranch instead ofmain. This mergesfix/report-findingsin unchanged (no conflicts). See #4 for the details and the GPU test results.Tests: CPU suite passes (29 passed; the GPU test skips without CUDA). These are the same code changes that passed the full GPU suite on the RunPod under #4.
