Restore a real server-rendering check #58

Closed

Description

@n4ff4h

#48 removed templates/, and with it test:ssr: the only check that built a production app and asserted Onu's markup in server-rendered HTML, in English (LTR) and Dhivehi (RTL). REQUIREMENTS R16.1 still promises Next.js support, and the Inertia and Next.js guide remains.

What's left is first-render.test.tsx, which uses renderToString to check that clock-based components are stable. It doesn't cover a real framework build, "use client" boundaries or hydration.

Options:

  • A small e2e fixture app that builds with Next.js and checks the server HTML.
  • A broader renderToString test across all root exports, plus a package-import check.

Worth keeping in mind that nothing currently fails if a change breaks server rendering in a real app.
