Ayush Patil

I find the gap. I design the system. I ship it.

Founding engineer at Breathe, previously Anakin (YC S21). IIT Roorkee, based in Bengaluru. I've spent my career as one of the first one or two engineers in a company, taking products from 0 to 1 and owning everything from diagnosis to production.

Open to freelance and consulting work. If you need a product built from scratch, or a prototype turned into a real system, email me at ayushypatil.work@gmail.com.

Professional work

Breathe · Founding Engineer (Full-Stack & GTM Ops) · 2025 – present

ESG data and reporting platform used by 40+ enterprises, including Rubix, Swiggy, CEAT and Paytm.

  • Shipped Supplier Intelligence, Breathe's third product line, so enterprises can collect and assess supplier data across their value chain.
  • Built an AST-based Formula Manager so customers define complex ESG calculations without engineering help: ~40% less manual entry.
  • Added Isolation Forest anomaly detection to the data pipeline: ~20% fewer audit corrections.
  • Semantic emission-factor mapping on Pinecone (1M+ vectors) for automated Scope 3 calculations.
  • Ran GTM as engineering: CRM workflows, partner-email analysis and pipeline reports that leadership actually reads.

Anakin (YC S21) · Software Engineer (Backend, Infra & Data Pipelines) · 2024 – 2025

Web data and pricing intelligence for 40+ enterprises, including Amazon, Uber, Gojek and Zepto.

  • Built an account system serving 30+ services at ~10 ms at 3–4K TPS.
  • Distributed AWS ETL pipelines ingesting 200K+ products across global platforms.
  • Shared scraper infrastructure and internal tooling: ~40% faster onboarding, ~75% faster retrieval.

Foxledger Studio · Full-Stack Developer & UI/UX Designer · 2022 – 2024

Web3 product studio serving 20+ organisations, including Bored Ape Yacht Club, Azuki, Doodles and Beans.

  • Arcadeverse: a community gaming platform with customisable game rooms and assets. 15 Web3 communities onboarded, 22K+ users.
  • Kurama: a community engagement ecosystem with tokenization, staking, a marketplace and a feed. 2,400+ users, 900+ DAU, 7 min average time per user, 800+ feed posts.

Personal projects

Built end to end to explore a problem I care about. Each is being brought up to production quality: tests, CI and a live demo.

  • falcon (Go): L7 reverse proxy and API gateway with round-robin, weighted and random load balancing.
  • meeting-api (Python): streams meeting audio, identifies who is speaking, and writes the summary.
  • webpage-audit (TypeScript): MCP server that gives an AI agent a real browser to audit websites.
  • grocx (Python): grocery list in, cheapest basket out, with discounts counted across quick-commerce apps.
  • persona (backend · frontend): live ride prices for one route across Ola, Rapido and Namma Yatri.
  • remote-desktop (JavaScript): ops console with live CPU and memory, Docker tasks, and an SSH terminal in the browser.

Stack

Python, TypeScript, Go, React and Node. PostgreSQL, Redis, Pinecone, Docker and AWS (ECS, SQS, S3, EventBridge) where the system needs them.
