Validation of the candidate files using @metamask/contract-metadata 2.5.0 on Linux:

  • asset:verify: PASS
  • npm test: 26,954 assertions passed

These checks validate repository files and structure; they do not independently verify live contract data or wallet security classification.

Hello MetaMask maintainers,

Thank you for the review of PR #2004.

We acknowledge the P1 concern regarding potential confusion with Tether USDT. This contract is independently issued and has no affiliation with Tether or USD backing.

We do not want the token to be presented as official Tether USDT.

Since the deployed contract already uses the on-chain name and symbol USDT, could you clarify whether any compliant metadata or branding approach is possible for this existing contract, without misrepresenting its on-chain identity?

We would appreciate your guidance before making changes.

Thank you.
