feat: publish dashboard through GitHub Pages Actions #3
Description
Overview
Publish the existing Broca dashboard at its GitHub Pages root using Actions. Build only the validated static dashboard; do not execute benchmarks or refresh evidence timestamps.
Plan
- Add a Pages build/deploy workflow and explicit workflow-contract tests.
- Enable the public navigation entry after publication is ready.
- Validate, merge the existing authorized changes, dispatch deployment and verify live HTML.
Tier: judge — human explicitly requested publication and previously authorized all merges in this session.
Detailed implementation plan
Repos: PyAutoBroca (primary), PyAutoBrain. Both main checkouts clean; Brain's board-one-click-update overlap is covered by the user's existing coordination authorization.
Branch: feature/broca-pages. Worktree: .worktrees/broca-pages.
Broca .github/workflows/pages.yml: checkout Broca and Brain, Python 3.12/PyYAML, python -m broca check, render --output site/index.html, Pages artifact upload, main-only OIDC deploy with environment URL. PR build is validation only. No schedule and no collection command.
Broca tests/test_pages_workflow.py: assert isolated artifact directory, build-only PR path, deployment permissions/branch guards, no refresh or benchmark execution. README/AGENTS document live URL and publication commands.
Brain config/policy.yaml: move Broca into public board map; tests/test_board_theme.py removes now-unused private registration and verifies Broca's public identity. ORGANISM.md records hosting boundary.
Tests: Broca suite, Brain theme/policy tests, CLI render, Actions build/deploy runs and HTTP fetch of live root. Check snapshot timestamp is preserved.
Original prompt
Publish Broca dashboard with GitHub Pages Actions
Type: feature
Target: pyautobroca
Consequence: judge
Autonomy: human-required
Original request (verbatim)
pages now use actions if that helps
Approved context
The user requested public Broca visibility, authorized all merges in this session,
and now explicitly requests Pages publication. Implement and deploy the minimal
Actions publication path for the existing reviewed dashboard. The user already
allowed coordinated Broca-related Brain/Mind changes preserving other tasks.
Plan
- @PyAutoBroca: add .github/workflows/pages.yml; validate records, render saved
evidence with Brain shared theme into a dedicated site directory, upload the
Pages artifact, deploy only on main/manual requests. PRs validate build without
deploying. Do not collect data, run models, refresh receipts or publish raw repo
contents. Update README/AGENTS hosting status and include a workflow contract test. - @PyAutoBrain: move Broca from unhosted registration to public board navigation
after the site is deployable; update matching theme registration test/docs. - Configure/verify GitHub Pages Actions, run applicable tests, ship the changes,
merge after all applicable CI passes under the user's merge/deploy authorization,
dispatch publication if needed, verify the live root serves the Broca dashboard. - Update Mind lifecycle and clean worktrees. No benchmark execution or scheduling.
Tier: judge — merge mode: human authorization already given for all merges and this deployment.

Published at https://pyautolabs.github.io/PyAutoBroca/ via Actions run 37786032633 (build and deploy both succeeded).
Merged Broca #4 (c5af0a2) and Brain #512. Broca's push/PR tests and Pages PR build passed; Brain passed Python 3.12 and 3.13. PR deployment is intentionally skipped by the main-only guard.
Live HTTP verification confirmed the Broca title, all four assistants, check-in prompt and original collection timestamp 2026-10-08T12:58:48Z. Only the rendered index.html is deployed; publication does not run benchmarks or collect/refresh evidence. Shared navigation now includes Broca and will appear as each board is next rendered.
Local validation: 19 Broca tests, 95 Brain theme/policy tests, CLI validation and render, saved-timestamp equality. Closing the task and removing merged worktrees through prm.
