queue intake: Strong Lensing Cosmology with Population-level Calibrated Neural Ratio Estimation #71
file: arxiv-inbox.md
section: Strong Lensing
line: 2026-08-25 — Strong Lensing Cosmology with Population-level Calibrated Neural Ratio Estimation — 2608.23534
notes: Good example of simulation based inference on large samples with a different cosmological applicaiton than most other studies (Which are normally dark matter).
Workflow (bibliography/README.md "Adding a paper", wiki/CLAUDE.md): verify the paper against an authoritative record, add its canonical entry to the bibliography/ BibTeX file, stub it in the matching wiki//sources/ page — incorporating the notes above — mark its queue line 'DONE — <title>' in reading-queue.md, and run make validate.
NOTE: this paper is in arxiv-inbox.md and is NOT in the reading queue yet, so there is no line to mark. Instead append it to the 'Strong Lensing' section of reading-queue.md already DONE-prefixed (it is being filed now, not queued to read later) and remove its arxiv-inbox.md line.
The paper itself is real and was verified against arxiv.org/abs/2608.23534
(Jarugula, Nord, Ćiprijanović, Trivedi — "Strong Lensing Cosmology with
Population-level Calibrated Neural Ratio Estimation").
However, no line matching this title, arXiv ID (2608.23534), or author name
appears anywhere in arxiv-inbox.md, arxiv-interests.md, or reading-queue.md
in the current checkout. arxiv-inbox.md's Strong Lensing entries currently
span 2026-08-27 through 2026-09-01 (dated 2026-08-25 would already be past
the file's own 7-day lapse window relative to today, 2026-09-01, but the
file's full git history — one commit total — never contained this paper
either, so it was not swept by the nightly job; it was simply never present).
Stopping without editing anything, per the "cannot be identified confidently"
instruction — in this case what's unconfirmed isn't the paper's identity but
its claimed location in the queue, which I don't want to fabricate by
inventing a DONE line or deleting a line that isn't there.
Suggested next step: confirm with whoever filed the dashboard request
whether the inbox line was already actioned/swept by another process, or
whether the date/file in the request is simply wrong, then re-file.
Filing branch pushed and gated: queue-filing/issue-71 — but this repo's policy blocks Actions from opening PRs. Open it with one tap: https://github.com/PyAutoLabs/PyAutoMemory/compare/main...queue-filing/issue-71?expand=1 — or enable 'Allow GitHub Actions to create and approve pull requests' (Settings → Actions → General) to make this automatic. Until it is merged, the paper is on that branch and not in memory; the dashboard lists it under Filings awaiting merge.

Queue filing failed — see the workflow run: https://github.com/PyAutoLabs/PyAutoMemory/actions/runs/33201706952. The issue stays open; file manually from a Claude Code session if needed.
