Hi, I'm a French 21-year-old graphics programming enthusiast who loves "under the hood" stuff in life so I've got quite strongly hooked by low-level programming in general!
I'm looking for work in any computer-related field to progress heavily among a team of talented people.
I'm currently learning graphics programming using OpenGL alongside C++ in a single project intended as a little rendering engine, aiming to complete a real small working game engine by the end of 2027 with all the knowledge from this project (and a little platformer game I wanted to have fun with).
As a self-taught since 2017, I have a long experience in programming, mainly with Java, and lately with lower-level languages like C and C++ and I enjoy them a lot for their "simplicity" and "freedom" (read below for more details). I also daily-drive Linux for months now, after more than 10 years using Windows, so I'm ok with both. My daily toolset includes: JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA & CLion, Microsoft Visual Studio (rarely since the Linux switch) & VSC, Git, CMake, Gradle.
More about me:
- hobbies => programming, video games, Japanese culture.
- HUMAN languages => French native, English work-proficiency, Japanese I can handle basic conversations.

More programming background
As I said, I've been teaching myself programming since 2017 mainly using Java to add a bunch of new content to Minecraft (unfortunately mostly private projects of mine or for other people), and went pretty deep into the language: my last project with it is a very efficient multi-threaded pathfinder api, based on an optimised A* algorithm and a graph structure using primitive arrays for cache loyalty (faster process) and lower memory usage.
In addition to my long experience with Java in several use cases, I've done quite a lot of websites using HTML/CSS/SCSS/JS as front-end languages (you can check my portfolio) and PHP and Java (again) for the back-end, a few Discord bots with NodeJS, Python scripts (mostly in highschool for our CS class), and I've also worked with MySQL databases using phpMyAdmin. Back to present time, I have a deep interest in low-level stuff and as such I've dabbled a bit into C (+ a few hours of assembly because why not, it's quite fun!) and I'm currently learning C++/OpenGL for engine/graphics programming.
Yapping about my love with C++
I think I felt in love with the freedom C++ gives: when I occasionally go back to Java I am occasionally missing this ability of controlling every bit (pun not intended) of my program. I mean, putting aside the compiler optimisations (I can't predict them with my current skills, that's some magic tricks) and some surely mystical C++ features, it is a pretty straightforward language. And that's without mentioning C: from my short experience with it, there is no simpler language. The difficulty stands from how to use the simple set of features it gave us to create a program that will run, and not segfault. I'd say it's more accurate to say it has to do with management/architecture design skill more than any other language.
Japanese background (+link to programming)
For those wondering, I've graduated in 2026 from a Japanese studies bachelor degree. It included of course Japanese language, but also history, litterature, culture, and I even did a whole-year exchange program at the University of Mie, Japan, as a second-year student.
As you can guess, this degree made me lose focus on programming to some extent, and even though it does not seem so according to my GitHub activity during the past years, I really had to slow down. Actually, before the end of highschool, I was mostly storing projects locally and I still have probably a hundred of them on my disks from my very first projects in 2017 to nowadays' freshly remote-pushed ones.
This is also the reason of why I took this year (2026) off, to focus back on programming as I did before the degree, and well I also need to rework my mathematics because I forgot some fundamentals (mostly calculus tbf) because of this unrelated degree that got me to do no math for 3 whole years... Like, I graduated with high grades in both my CS & maths majors in highschool, it saddens me so much how bad I became compared to my past-self.
