| Basic Stepper Driver (SKU 333134) |
This library drives Soldered's Basic Stepper Driver board (SKU 333134), a simple bipolar/unipolar stepper motor driver breakout supporting up to 14V and 800mA, with per-phase LED indicators and 3.3V/5V-tolerant input pins. The driver itself is a MicroPython port of the AccelStepper algorithm (acceleration/deceleration speed profiles), and beyond the STEP/DIR interface it also supports 2/3/4-wire full- and half-step motors driven directly from GPIO, plus a functional (callback) interface - so it also works with other STEP/DIR drivers like DRV8825 or TMC2208, not just this board. Multiple simultaneous steppers are supported by calling run() on each in your main loop.
After installing the mpremote package, install the library on your board using the following command:
mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-BasicStepperDriver-MicroPython-LibraryOr, if you're running a Windows OS:
python -m mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-BasicStepperDriver-MicroPython-Library- BasicStepperDriver.py - MicroPython driver class (STEP/DIR + direct-wired + functional interfaces)
- package.json - mip install manifest
- /Examples - blocking, constant-speed, proportional-control, multi-stepper, quickstop, overshoot, bounce, and random-motion examples
You can find hardware design for this board in the Basic-stepper-driver hardware repository.
