Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

I want my projects to be welcoming, respectful, and constructive spaces for everyone, regardless of their background, experience, identity, or level of technical knowledge.

Participation in these projects is expected to be professional, considerate, and focused on productive collaboration.

Expected Behavior

Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:

  • Being respectful and considerate of others.
  • Providing constructive feedback and accepting it gracefully.
  • Disagreeing with ideas without attacking the people behind them.
  • Respecting different levels of experience and technical perspectives.
  • Sharing relevant information in a clear and helpful manner.
  • Focusing discussions on the project and its goals.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or personal attacks.
  • Insults, threats, or deliberately hostile communication.
  • Publishing private information without permission.
  • Deliberate disruption of discussions or collaborative work.
  • Any other behavior that a reasonable person would consider inappropriate in a professional community.

Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards.

Depending on the circumstances, maintainers may remove inappropriate content, close discussions, reject contributions, or restrict participation.

Actions will be proportionate to the situation and may be taken without a prior warning when necessary.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to project spaces, including issues, pull requests, discussions, and other communication channels used for project collaboration.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, contact the project maintainer privately through an appropriate communication channel.

Please include enough context to understand the situation. Reports will be handled as discreetly as reasonably possible.

Final Note

The goal is not to eliminate disagreement. Technical disagreement is a normal and valuable part of software development.

The expectation is simple: challenge ideas, respect people, and work toward constructive outcomes.
