SportsaraStar

🏸 Los Angeles Badminton Meetup Organizer for fun, health, exercise and improving badminton skillset fundamentals

πŸ“ Conatus: To expand your power to act by turning uncertainty into measurable progress and to build systems and communities that help other people do the same

πŸ’ͺ Modus Operandi: Keep building a stronger, more joyful life, and seek people with whom I can grow, thrive, and have fun along the way

🌱 Building

  • Sportsara - A personal health & performance metrics tracker for badminton doubles players, groups, coaches and organizers
    • Problems Sportsara solves for doubles badminton pairs:
      • Weekly personal games played disappear forever (no recording data, no analytics for improving)
      • Nobody knows how good doubles pairs truly are together
      • Organizers struggle to create evenly matched games
      • Personal improvement is difficult to see
      • Badminton groups have no reliable history
      • Without weekly consistent activity, aging gradually takes away muscle mass and bone density, raising the risk of muscle atrophy, osteoporosis, and lost mobility in older ages. Sportsara helps players build weekly badminton habits that support lifelong strength, healthier bones, and preserve mobility independence
      • The rise of the computer, internet, social media and now AI partially contribute to the decline in human in person to person connection

    1. Setup a doubles game, invite 3 players
    2. Play the game IRL
    3. Record final game scores in Sportsara

πŸ“Š Enjoy updated personal anlaytics & sports profile

  • How Sportsara Works:

    • For every badminton game final scores recorded:
      • An estimated 1 calorie burned per point played will be tallied for each player
      • Total points played per month
      • Total games played per month
      • Total games count per player
      • Total games count per player pair
      • Total points scored per player pair
      • Active months
      • etc.
      • [Optional] Personal monthly goal settings and views
      • [Optional] A modified Elo rating will be adjusted for the playing pair
    • For coaches:
      • Use Sportsara as a supplement to track students’ practice games between training sessions, document their development, assess their current skill level, and make more informed decisions for recreational program placement and/or competitive program team selection
    • For organizers:
      • Make club activity visible, measurable, and easier to grow together
    • For doubles partners:
      • Every game strengthens your partnership and shows how you’re improving together
  • Sportsara Core Insights & Innovation

    1. People already track health and performance metrics in running, jogging, biking
    2. Players want an easy way to track performance, health, scores, and their sports story
    3. Your favorite sport stays with you for life
    4. Sportsara enables individuals to organize IRL Elo result recorded verified games without a traditional tournament organizer
    5. AI on the rise increases productivity, freeing up people to pursue more recreational or competitive sports
    6. (My opinion) Sports is one of the last bastions for human to human connection outside family and friends, and better than boring jogging for health outcomes (jogging is great, don't get me wrong tho! I ran marathons!)
  • πŸ“£ For any bugs, usability issues, feature requests or any app product feedback, contact me here: bryan@sportsara.com I think about how to make Sportsara better almost everyday. I'd love to hear your feedback.

He disturbs, upsets, enlightens, and he opens ways for a better understanding.
