fix(auth): update auth stack and remove token logging - #455
Merged

Conversation
Upgrade better-auth and @better-auth/passkey to 1.7.12 and hono to 4.13.13, which clears every auth-related advisory in pnpm audit. The lockfile also picks up patched kysely, @simplewebauthn/server and defu. Drop the Set-Cookie and cookie-name logging that exposed session tokens, match ADMIN_EMAIL case-insensitively, revoke admin sessions when ADMIN_PASSWORD_RESET rotates the password, and require user verification for passkeys.

Deleting session rows did not end a session while the 5 minute cookie cache served the signed cookie without reading the database, so an admin password reset left the old session usable. Drop the cache so session state is always authoritative, and cover revocation with a test.

No schema migration is needed: the hand-written tables in
001-base-schema.tsalready match what 1.7.12 expects, including the passkey table. Better Auth 1.7 validates the schema at init, so a fresh database was verified to sign up and sign in, and a deliberately broken schema was confirmed to be rejected.Fixes
Set-Cookieheader on sign-in and cookie names in the auth middleware, both of which leaked session tokens into debug logsADMIN_EMAILcase-insensitively, since Better Auth stores lowercased emailsADMIN_PASSWORD_RESETrotates the password, atomically with the password write/api/repos. Blocking sign-ups when
ADMIN_EMAIL/ADMIN_PASSWORDare unset. Today registration is open and every account gets full access, which is what makes the OAuth auto-link advisory reachable; changing that alters who can create accounts, so it is left for a separate decision.Better Auth also warns at startup that rate limiting cannot resolve a client IP behind the container proxy and falls back to one shared bucket per path. Fixing it needs
advanced.ipAddress.ipAddressHeaders/trustedProxiesconfigured to match the deployment, so it is left out of this change.Summary by CodeRabbit
