Agents author and commit as the person they work for, and add no Co-authored-by line for an AI tool, no Claude-Session line and no "Generated with" footer (AGENTS.md, Rules). .claude/settings.json turns Claude Code's own attribution off. A "Commit authorship" job in CI runs scripts/check-commit-authorship.sh over a pull request's commits and fails on any.
