Fetch and validate every commit, tree, and blob reachable from the advertised tip, including both merge parents and descendants of objects already stored locally. Reuse valid loose and packed objects, then integrate the tip through
CommitManager.integrate_fetched_tipbefore reporting success.Closes #38.
Validation covers a packed-only remote with nested, empty, binary, and Unicode data; a locally present commit with missing descendants; checkout of a newly pulled current branch; and rejection of dirty working files without ref/index changes or false success output. The full quality check is run against the merged Week 6 M2/M3 dependencies.
