Part of #762. docs/design/decisions/suffix-acronym-collisions.md and docs/design/decisions/vocabulary-collisions.md each get a ## Standing block, one present-tense line per decision in force, each pointing at its log entry, plus a ## Log heading. Both keys come off tests/v2/decisions_without_standing.json. These two files go next because #752 (vocabulary phase 2) rewrites the ambiguous marking they record, and it should start from blocks that say what is in force. A one-line head note also lands in decisions/C8 (below).

vocabulary-collisions

This is a log, not a reference list: it has dated entries and decisions in undated bullets. The keystone's undated bullets (C-i, C-ii, the do demonstration, Applications, the C-ii per-word bullet) were written with the 2026-08-16 keystone entry. git blame on the pre-split decisions.md shows them in f7c18a4, 77de1e6 and 1f5e0b8. They gain a bundle line like the one above, so their pointers land on a line that names them rather than on the base-rate verdict.

Changes in the entries:

Review

  • Two rounds of the design-docs-reviewer: one on the first commit, and one on the first fix commit, as AGENTS.md asks.
  • Round 1 found 10 issues. The main ones:
  • Round 2 found 9 issues in the first fix's own text. Most were the same scope error repeated in a rewritten line: a case-scoped claim about the ba/meng/si class that failed at the bare and comma sites (Anna BA, SMITH, BA, John Smith, Meng). The final line names measured examples and leaves the readings to S6, S4 and C4 rather than restating them by case.
  • Both rounds' findings are fixed. The second fix commit is small and had no third review round. I checked every example it cites by parsing it on the tree.

How it was checked

  • Every word a line names was looked up with tools/vocab/query.py, and --issue 796's 33 were checked against Lexicon.default().
  • Every example a line cites was parsed on the tree.
  • The whole folder was grepped for each issue and example. The reversals were in S9, S6, S7, S3, C8 and P6.
  • A script resolved each pointer and printed the entry it lands on, so each one names the entry intended, not just some entry.
  • Negative control: deleting the mai index line, the bundle line, or a twin's distinguishing words makes standing_findings fail.
  • The full suite passes on 3.11 and 3.15. The 3.15 run was at the first commit; later commits change only docs, and the suite was re-run on 3.11.

…ns (#762)

Each file gains a ## Standing block, one present-tense line per decision
in force, and a ## Log heading; both keys leave
tests/v2/decisions_without_standing.json.

suffix-acronym-collisions opens its Log with the bundle line the README
prescribes for undated bullets under a dated title, plus one index line
each for the mai and esq bullets, which date themselves in their own
words. Parts reversed by later entries are marked on the bullets they
stand in (decisions/S9 #564, decisions/S6, this file's own 2026-09-15
and 2026-10-21 entries) and on the #540 and 2026-09-15 heads.

- Scope the ba/meng/lac/si/chi line by case: S6 decides before the
count, so a Title-case member in a mixed-case name reads as the name
and a capitals one after a comma is the credential.
- Qualify C-i: for suffix acronyms being borne only opens the question
  (decisions/suffix-acronym-collisions' relative-frequency criterion);
mark the C-i bullet's head under edit kind 1.
- do does not inherit vd's answer (rules/P6); mc's came from #454.
Moved to an Elsewhere line and noted on the per-word bullet.
- 30 of the 33 #796 words meet the threshold, the other three the
  small-count rule; edd's #540 reason dropped, its #796 hold-out
  reworded as a counterfactual.
- #544, the parking lot, the roman-numeral accident and sa's dual
are decided under other keys: Elsewhere lines, not bullets.
- Add the bracket-escape and particle-chain costs, the P3 count
answer to C-ii, and the lapsed lo/el re-judging (Not standing).
- vocabulary-collisions gains a keystone bundle line so C-i and
C-ii point at a line naming them, not at the base-rate verdict.
- Correct a pre-existing "above" that meant below (edit kind 2).

- The ba/meng/lac/si/chi line names its examples and defers the
readings to S6, S4 and C4 rather than restating them by case: the
case-scoped version overclaimed at the bare and comma sites
  (`Anna BA`, `SMITH, BA`, `John Smith, Meng`).
- The particle-chain cost covers only a member that reads as a name
(`John de Smith CHI` keeps suffix 'CHI').
- mc inherits vd's answer (accepted by #454, not reversed); do
joins by P6's ordinary attachment, except in capitals. The
per-word bullet's note is an edit-kind-2 correction for do only.
- The keystone bundle line names the demonstration and Applications
bullets and the rai clause reversed in the latter.
- lo/el: #360 judged lo ambiguous and left el open; neither was added.
- sa's dual rests on decisions/C8's PR #428 review entry, and C8's
#296/#325 head now marks that its ms/sa move was reversed there.
- P3's count answer scoped to its count; S7's twin named by heading;
ei's reason separated from the small-count comparison.
