Deferred Features
The authoritative backlog of deferred, carried-over and not-yet-implemented features is to-dos/DEFERRED-AND-CARRYOVER-FEATURES.md. Each entry is marked open [ ] or closed [x], and a closed entry cites the release, commit, file or test that closed it, so the file records what was decided as well as what remains. Planned work is scheduled in to-dos/ROADMAP.md (see Roadmap).
Known accuracy approximations are listed separately, with their evidence, in docs/accuracy-ledger.md.
Earlier versions of this page listed items that have since shipped. According to the catalogue:
- The master-clock timebase shipped in v2.0.0 "Timebase" (Scheduler).
- Vs. DualSystem emulation shipped in v2.0.0, and reached the web and mobile builds in v2.9.7.
-
Mapper breadth has grown well past the figure given here before;
docs/mappers.mdhas the current count and tiers.
Two browser items are recorded as incomplete: browser RetroAchievements (casual-only, ADR 0015) still lists an auth-proxy deployment and live verification as maintainer steps, and the experimental browser Lua backend is not at parity with the native one. Their status is in the catalogue, docs/cheevos-browser.md and docs/scripting.md.
RustyNES is a cycle-accurate NES emulator written in Rust, licensed GPL-3.0-or-later. It is a derivative work of GPL-licensed emulators; see provenance and NOTICE. This wiki is a summary; the repository's docs/ are authoritative. | GitHub Repository | Web Demo
