The External MCP traffic panels showed "service #37" for the system MCP service and "user #N" for admins. The service lookup filtered on type = mcp only, so system_mcp services never resolved; the user lookup only read /system/user, and most MCP traffic is admins signing in via OAuth from Claude Desktop and friends. Include system_mcp in the service filter and fetch /system/admin alongside /system/user, treating a failed admin lookup (restricted admins under df-compliance) as no names rather than an error.
