The French sentence said "retour avant le D", which excludes the day the server still accepts; "retour au plus tard le D" includes it, as the Italian "entro il" does. The two database-backed suites now pin the default and maximum loan durations for the run and restore the installation's values in their cleanup, so they no longer depend on what the environment configures. The browser spec snapshots the title's derived columns and restores them, since an auto-approved request recomputes them.
version.json goes to 0.8.8 with a CHANGELOG section and a README highlight for the commit that reached #490 and #493 after 0.8.7 was cut: the French loan-window sentences say "au plus tard" so they include the return day, and the loan-window suites pin the loan durations they rely on. 0.8.7 moves into the list of earlier highlights. No migration, no plugin change.
…eprecates setAccessible() has had no effect since PHP 8.1, Pinakes requires 8.2, and PHP 8.5 deprecates it. tests/update-space-preflight.unit.php turns warnings into failures and failed on 8.5.12; the other 45 files only printed the notice. The 85 standalone calls are gone, application code already had none, and every standalone unit test passes on PHP 8.5.12 and 8.4.27 with no deprecation.

I reviewed the full 0.8.8 release diff: the French locale fix, the loan-window test hardening, the PHP 8.5 setAccessible() cleanup, and the version/CHANGELOG/README bump.
- French loan-window sentences: both the plural and singular strings now say "retour au plus tard le", which includes the return day, as the Italian "entro il" does.
- Loan-window suites pin durations:
loan-window-cap.unit.phpandloan-window-surfaces.unit.phpsaveloan_duration_days/max_loan_duration_daysbefore pinning them to 30/90, and$cleanuprestores them (or deletes them if they were unset). This works on the exception path too, becauseset_exception_handlercalls$cleanup. The surfaces suite correctly drops its later save block. Keeping it would have captured the pinned values instead of the installation's. - Capped-loan spec restores derived columns: it takes a snapshot of
libri.copie_disponibili/statobefore seeding and writes it back in teardown. If the snapshot is empty, the restore is skipped. setAccessible()removals: all 85 removals are mechanical (methods and properties).composer.jsonrequires^8.2, where the call has done nothing since 8.1, and no calls remain undertests/.- Release metadata:
version.jsonis 0.8.8, the## [0.8.8]CHANGELOG heading has the exact formcreate-release.shneeds, and the README highlight has been rotated.
ℹ️ The book-club due date still uses "avant le"
The French translation "Da restituire entro il %s": "À rendre avant le %s" (locale/fr_FR.json:6543) has the same problem this release fixes: "avant le" leaves out the due date itself, while "entro il" includes it. It appears in the book-club lending views next to due_on. It's outside this PR's scope, but it's a one-line follow-up for consistency.

The string comes from the core locale, so the book-club views (lending.php,lending_panel.php) pick it up with no plugin change.
