Rework: work#627
Goal
Part of fizzyedit/work#362; addresses review follow-up fizzyedit/work#627 for PR #965.
What changed and why
The coast regression checks each drawn displacement against the exponential release integral, using the actual release timestamp. This follow-up documents the draw-scale writer and removes unconditional per-frame test output. The PR's own diff against base cc64b83 is confined to core/widgets/ScrollArea.zig; the six alleged drift files belong to inherited base commits, not this PR.
How it was verified
The filtered integration test
coast displacement follows each frame gappassed. Temporary instrumentation measured the same trace with continuous drawing and with pixel rounding applied to each endpoint (the snapping regression baseline). Values are device pixels:These are headless fixture measurements, not phone frame-pacing measurements or a run of an earlier shipped revision. The snapped first displacement (25) fails the analytical expectation (about 25.093393) at the retained 0.0001-pixel tolerance. Temporary measurement output was removed. Gate results are in GATES.md.
Not done / follow-ups
Physical phone/browser checks, 120 Hz verification and live core.profile measurements remain outstanding. No runtime animation changes. The fixed-size regression fixture retains its strict tolerance; larger fixtures may need a precision-aware comparison. Publishing and the single FIXES comment are handled by the harness.
