Key Features

  • /speckit.deja-vu.recall reads the active spec.md and plan.md, picks a few queries and searches the agent session transcripts already on disk (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini and others) through the deja CLI
  • Reports what past sessions tried and abandoned, what they settled, and which files they touched, each point cited with a session id
  • Optional before_implement hook, so /speckit.implement offers the recall and runs nothing unless the user agrees
  • Read-only and local: it runs deja recall, deja files and deja show, edits nothing, sends nothing anywhere

Testing Checklist

  • Extension installs successfully via download URL
  • All commands execute without errors
  • Documentation is complete and accurate
  • No security vulnerabilities identified
  • Tested on at least one real project

Submission Requirements

  • Valid extension.yml manifest included
  • README.md with installation and usage instructions
  • LICENSE file included
  • GitHub release created with version tag
  • All command files exist and are properly formatted
  • Extension ID follows naming conventions (lowercase-with-hyphens)

Testing Details

Tested on macOS with Spec Kit 1.2.0 and 0.10.0.
Test projects: fresh specify init with the claude, gemini and copilot integrations.

  1. specify extension add deja-vu --from https://github.com/vshulcz/deja-vu/releases/download/v0.23.4/deja-spec-kit.zip installs, registers the command (Claude and Copilot as a skill, Gemini as .gemini/commands/speckit.deja-vu.recall.toml) and writes the before_implement hook as optional into .specify/extensions.yml.
  2. Ran the deja calls the command makes, including a query starting with -, against an empty and a populated index.
  3. The repository's CI checks extensions/spec-kit/extension.yml against Spec Kit's schema rules (id, version matching the release tag, command names, files, optional hook).

Example Usage

brew install deja-vu
specify extension add deja-vu --from https://github.com/vshulcz/deja-vu/releases/download/v0.23.4/deja-spec-kit.zip

/speckit.deja-vu.recall
/speckit.deja-vu.recall stripe webhook signature
