Hi there 👋

I'm Juan Gonzalez, a Senior Software Engineer based in Spain, working remotely.

🏢 Senior Software Engineer at Workpath since 2021
💎 Ruby on Rails · PostgreSQL · GraphQL · Enterprise integrations
🤖 AI-native: Claude Code and MCP are part of how I work every day
🌐 jags84.com
⚡ Fun fact: yes, I'm a skydiver 🪂

What I do 🛠️

I've been building web products for 14+ years. At Workpath, a B2B strategy-execution SaaS used by large enterprises, I'm the go-to engineer for integrations: Jira (Cloud and Data Center), Azure DevOps and the Microsoft 365 stack (Power BI, Excel), plus the OAuth, sync and reliability work that makes them hold up with real enterprise data.

I own features end to end: spike and design doc, tickets, backend, frontend and what happens in production afterwards. I also keep the platform modern; I led the upgrades from Rails 6 to Rails 8 and Ruby 4.

Before Workpath, I built internal sales tools at Selectra and was one of the backend engineers behind DADA, a social platform for artists with an Ethereum art marketplace.

Tech I use 🧰

Ruby on Rails Ruby PostgreSQL Redis Sidekiq GraphQL RSpec React TypeScript OAuth2 SAML SCIM Kubernetes GitHub Actions Grafana Claude Code
