fix(SESF-84): send no project header from Desktop spare folders - #93
Claude Desktop starts each Code-tab claude process in ~/.claude/spares/spare-<id>, connects MCP servers there, and then enters the project folder. The headers helper ran while the process was still in the spare folder, so X-Project-Root named it. The server then fell back to the nearest indexed parent, /Users/lbruton.
Changes
mcp-headers-helper.sh: prints {} for $claude_home/spares and anything under it. The check runs before the git lookup, like the config-folder check.
tests/test_headers_helper.py: covers the spare folder as the parent working directory, as CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR, and inside a git-versioned home. A spares folder outside the config folder and a spares-archive sibling are still sent.
CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md: the gotcha names the spares rule.
Limits
The helper cannot find the real project: Desktop chooses it after the helper runs, and the header lasts for the whole connection. Desktop sessions still pass project_root explicitly. With this change, the server reports "no current project" instead of a wrong scope.
Checks
ruff check . passes.
pytest: 762 passed, 120 skipped.
After merge: run ./sessionflow-server.sh install-headers-helper.

Bug Fixes
Claude Desktop Code-tab sessions now correctly exclude the spares folder and its contents from project headers, including when the folder is inside a Git repository.
Other folders named spares and similarly named sibling folders continue to be treated as project roots.
Documentation
Clarified that Code-tab sessions must pass the project root explicitly because the connection header is set before entering the project.
Claude Desktop pre-starts each Code-tab claude process in
~/.claude/spares/spare-<id>, connects MCP servers there, and only then
changes into the project folder and deletes the spare. The headers
helper ran at connect time, so X-Project-Root named the spare folder and
the server fell back to its nearest indexed parent (/Users/lbruton).
The helper now treats $claude_home/spares and anything under it like the
config folder and prints {}, before the git lookup. The real project is
chosen after the helper runs, so Desktop sessions still pass
project_root explicitly.
The helper now returns {} for paths under Claude home’s spares directory before Git lookup. Tests cover working-directory, CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR, and repository cases, plus nearby paths that retain X-Project-Root. Documentation explains explicit project_root handling for Claude Desktop Code-tab sessions.
