Tidy public docs: remove local details, move internal notes - #25
This repo is linked from the portfolio site. This PR removes local machine details and moves internal working notes to docs/internal/. Documentation only; no code or behavior changes. This is a fork of DeusData/codebase-memory-mcp. Only files the fork added or changed are touched, and the attribution text is unchanged.
Changes
Local details: replaced local state and workspace paths and a CI host name in fork-added docs.
Deleted: fork-added working artifacts (session handoff, backlog, a dated memory-lab report, and dated CI and reconciliation reports).
Moved to docs/internal/: the upstream audit and reconciliation reports, the runtime assurance plan, the migration status note and specs.
Links: updated the README link to the migration status note.
Not changed: upstream docs, SECURITY.md (its contact is upstream's), AGENTS.md, and the local Jenkins scripts and job XML that use local paths.
Verification
No code, test or script references a moved or deleted path.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Documentation
Updated qualification and benchmark documentation to use consistent generic host and managed-terminal terminology.
Corrected the README link to the CLI migration status page.
Removed several internal planning, session handoff, usability, reconciliation, and test-report documents. These changes do not alter release workflows or product behavior.
Replace home-directory state paths and local checkout paths in the
upstream audit, reconciliation report, backlog and handoff with neutral
placeholders, and refer to the CI host instead of its machine name.
Jenkins helper scripts and job XML contain functional local paths and are
left unchanged.
Delete fork-added working artifacts: the session handoff, backlog, memlab
run report, self-hosting UX report, full-suite failure log, CI recovery
plan, consolidated source reconciliation and the first vertical-slice
plan. Move the dated upstream candidate audit and reconciliation report,
the runtime assurance plan, the migration status log and the
upstream-next-three specs into docs/internal/ with a README stating they
are history. Kept in place: README, attribution and security files,
AGENTS.md, configuration and reference docs, the qualification plan,
runbooks and protocols, and docs/agents (a contract test reads them).
Updated the README migration status link and cross-references in the
moved reports. No upstream-authored files were touched.
This pull request updates qualification-host and benchmark-corpus wording, replaces Herdr-specific worker and evidence references, deletes several historical planning and report documents, and updates README navigation. Workflow behavior, release gates, and recorded assignments and outcomes remain unchanged.
Several historical reports and plans are deleted. The README link points to the internal migration-status document, the internal README identifies working notes as historical, and trailing whitespace is removed from a security document.
Fix the corpus URL and qualification-host mismatch before merging: following the updated instructions can block benchmark initialization or release promotion. The specification JSON and documentation references also need localized repairs.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the two main themes of the change: removing local machine details from public docs and moving internal notes. The changeset does both. It replaces local paths and a CI host name, deletes fork-added working artifacts, and moves internal reports and specs to docs/internal/. The title is short, specific, and matches the primary change.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description covers the intent and scope of the change. It states that the PR is documentation-only, lists the local-detail replacements, deletions, moves, and link updates, and names files that were intentionally left unchanged. It also gives a verification note. The template's checklist items (DCO sign-off, local test run, lint run, and test coverage) are absent, and the 'What does this PR do?' section is written as 'Summary' rather than the template heading. Those gaps are non-critical for a documentation-only change, so the description is mostly complete.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
No eligible functions found in the changed files. Skipping docstring coverage check. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 0 functions across 0 files. Review note (2026-11-02): documentation-only PR, but removing root BACKLOG.md and relocating canonical upstream audit/reconciliation reports can break references and ongoing upstream-sync tracking. In particular, current upstream-sync documentation still describes a canonical ledger under docs/, while this PR moves it under docs/internal/. Before merge, perform a repository-wide link/path reference audit (Markdown links, scripts, AGENTS guidance, CI/release docs and portfolio links), reconcile the canonical backlog/ledger location rather than deleting its active authority, and verify no sensitive host/user/path data remains in public docs. No source/runtime behavior changes were identified from the patch listing; that is not sufficient to approve deletion of active project records.
Re-review: head unchanged (9312ab2), GitHub now reports mergeable=false. This is a merge conflict, not a qualified docs-only merge. Resolve against current main and retain/repoint canonical backlog and upstream-sync ledger references; run broken-link/path audit before requesting merge.
Preserve the active backlog and upstream audit ledger at their canonical root paths. Keep upstream-sync references valid and remove local operator, workspace, and terminal identifiers from tracked docs.

Make the manual manifest host match the promotion verifier.
Step 11 of the Windows agent doc tells the operator to write "host": "the qualification host". The promotion workflow runs verify-external-qualification.py without --expected-host, so the verifier compares that literal against luigi.home.arpa and fails with qualification host mismatch. The release stays in draft. Align the manifest value with the verifier, or pass --expected-host explicitly in .github/workflows/promote-qualified-release.yml.
Why no diff is proposed
Restoring luigi.home.arpa in the doc would reintroduce the host name this PR removes from public docs. Passing --expected-host in the workflow needs a host source, such as a repository variable, which the repository does not define. Choose the approach first.

Scope the internal README note so it does not contradict the migration status link.
docs/internal/README.md says the whole directory holds "working notes kept for history; not maintained as user documentation." The root README.md links docs/internal/CLI_MIGRATION_STATUS.md as "current port and qualification status." Readers get conflicting signals about whether that linked status can be relied on. Either scope the directory note to exclude that file, or reword the root link.

Restore HERDR in the three Phase1 run identifiers referenced by the

keep the worker-environment prose unchanged.

Restore a resolvable locator for the medium20 receipts.
Lines 587, 593, and 612 of docs/UPSTREAM_RECONCILIATION_REPORT_20261002.md now cite local run evidence where they named the handoff directory. No index in the repository maps run CBM-RECON-LUNA-MEDIUM20-20261003 to a receipt directory. Cite the concrete run evidence directory for the assignment, prompt, and launch receipts, or add a run-ID-to-directory index.

Replace the “local run evidence” references for the assignment, prompt, and
launch receipts with a concrete resolvable evidence directory for run
CBM-RECON-LUNA-MEDIUM20-20261003, or add a repository index mapping that run ID
to its receipt directory and cite the index.
