📥 Installation

Download the installer for your platform from GitHub Releases:

Platform Architecture Download
macOS Intel / Apple Silicon .dmg
Windows x86_64 .msi or .exe
Linux x86_64 / arm64 .AppImage, .deb or .rpm

After downloading, install as usual: on macOS open the .dmg and drag the app to Applications (on first launch, right-click → "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper); on Windows run the installer (if SmartScreen warns, click "More info" → "Run anyway"); on Linux run the .AppImage directly or install the .deb / .rpm with your package manager.

To build from source, see Quick Start below.

🤝 Contributing

Contributions are welcome! Please read our Developer Guide before submitting PRs.

🙏 Acknowledgments

  • EasyDict — Translator is heavily inspired by EasyDict's translation-result experience. Several dictionary and multi-result features — Youdao V4 dictionary parsing, Bing v7 dictionary + tlookupv3 lookup, the Google webapp endpoint with tk signing, and the result-card layout — were ported from its Swift implementation. EasyDict is an excellent macOS-only app; Translator aims to bring a comparable experience to macOS, Windows, and Linux. Our sincere thanks to the EasyDict author and contributors.
