Summary

Make the changelog's part filters read as filters instead of tabs. The default “All parts” state is now explicit, and the controls sit directly on the page background.

Changes

  • Add a readable “Filter by part” label and pill-shaped filter buttons.
  • Keep “All parts” selected when no part filter is active, including when every part is selected.
  • Add accessible group labeling and pressed-state semantics.

Testing

  • pnpm exec vitest run src/components/changelog.test.tsx passed (12 tests).
  • pnpm run build succeeded.
  • git diff --check passed.

Notes for reviewers

  • The filters have no enclosing panel or background.
  • Release headings, summaries and metadata remain visible when part sections are filtered.

Checklist

  • The change is covered by tests.
  • The docs site build succeeds.
  • No unrelated files are changed.

Review: ready to merge

Summary. The changelog now presents part filters as labeled pills on the page background, with an explicit all-parts state.

First draft: 5/5. No issues of consequence found.

Checked.

  • Focus ring bypassed: The buttons rely on the site's keyboard focus styling; no custom focus style bypasses it.
  • Generated file edited: No generated files changed; the filters stay in the existing changelog component and stylesheet.
