fix(core): find the first unread message without a last read message (FLU-1098) - #3132
When the current user has unread messages but their read state has no last_read_message_id, the unread separator didn't appear, and the jump-to-unread button couldn't land. StreamChannelState.getFirstUnreadMessage only returned a message in that case once every older message had been loaded.
The backend sends no last_read_message_id for a member who has unread messages but no read position, with last_read set to when they joined. Sending a message doesn't move the sender's read position in a regular channel either. On reopen, Flutter keeps the read state it already holds rather than querying the channel again, so it hits this case.
Without a last_read_message_id, the first unread message is the first message from another user sent after last_read. It resolves once the loaded messages reach back to last_read, or once they include as many unread messages as the read state counts, such as a channel whose whole history came after last_read. Until then it stays null rather than settling on the wrong message. Flutter worked this way before fix(llc, core, ui): fix mark unread issues #2196, and RN does the same.
With an id, nothing changes. Both paths share the rule that skips your own and deleted messages.
The two unread-separator e2e tests are enabled: 12835 "unread separator is shown when the participant sends messages while the user is away" and 12836 "user scrolls to the first unread message".
How it was verified
stream_channel_test.dart adds five tests for a missing id:
your own message comes first, and the first other message is returned;
every unread message is loaded, though all of them came after last_read;
the loaded messages start after last_read and some unread are missing, so it returns null;
after paging finds nothing older, the oldest loaded message is returned;
a message sent exactly at last_read counts as read.
Each of the eight guards was broken on purpose, and a test caught every one. The stream_chat_flutter_core suite passes, and the stream_chat_flutter message list tests pass apart from the local macOS goldens.
e2e: 12835 and 12836 run in this PR's E2E workflow.
Improved unread-message detection when a channel has a last-read timestamp but no last-read message ID. The first unread message is identified using the timestamp, excluding deleted, silent, ephemeral, shadowed, and current-user messages. The result remains unavailable until loaded messages provide enough information to locate the unread boundary.
Prevented messages from being marked as read when the unread boundary is resolved but not yet visible.
Tests
Added coverage for timestamp-based unread boundaries and restored two unread-message integration scenarios to test runs.
The mock server now sends last_read_message_id on message.read, as the
backend does.

The first-unread lookup now uses the last-read timestamp when a channel has no last-read message ID. The unread controller checks whether its divider anchor has resolved before applying the no-boundary mark-read condition. Tests cover lookup boundaries and filtering, and two unread-message integration tests are no longer skipped.
Changes: Unread-message lookup and boundary handling
When no last-read message ID is available, the lookup filters messages after the last-read timestamp and returns the first qualifying message only when the loaded history meets the timestamp or unread-count condition. Tests cover message filtering, timestamps, and loaded-history boundaries.
Unread divider and mark-read boundary packages/stream_chat_flutter/lib/src/message_list_view/message_list_unread_controller.dart, packages/stream_chat_flutter/test/src/message_list_view/mark_read_test.dart, packages/stream_chat_flutter/test/src/message_list_view/message_list_unread_controller_test.dart
The controller now checks that the divider anchor remains unresolved before treating the boundary as absent. Tests update unread-count setups and cover a resolved boundary that is not visible.
GetStream/stream-chat-flutter#3112: Changes the local unread count used by this lookup to assess whether loaded messages contain the full unread range.
The timestamp fallback improves unread navigation, but new arrivals can still resolve the divider to a newer message before older unread history loads. This bounded navigation risk warrants owner awareness or a focused fix; no broader availability or data-loss issue is established.

Document the mock-server revision that test 12835 requires.
Test 12835 has its skip removed. It now depends on a mock server whose message.read events include last_read_message_id. start_mock_server clones options[:branch], which defaults to main. A local_server checkout or a manual mock_server_branch override can select an older revision. On such a run, this test fails without an SDK regression. Add the minimum required mock-server revision to e2e_app/README.md, or add a guard that reports the revision before the test runs.

fix(core): find the first unread message without a last read message (FLU-1098)

Add a deleted message before the eligible message in a missing-ID test.
The missing-lastReadMessageId tests do not include a deleted message. Removing the isDeleted check from the timestamp branch would leave those tests passing. Add a deleted message after the read date and before the eligible message in the test that uses firstUnread. The expected result is still firstUnread.
Use type: MessageType.deleted. Message.isDeleted reads type, not deletedAt. Set createdAt after lastRead, so only the deletion check excludes the message. Use a user other than the current user, so the user check does not exclude it first.
The current code already excludes deleted messages, so this is a regression-coverage gap, not a production defect.

Exclude muted senders from the first-unread lookup.
796-797: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Exclude muted senders from the first-unread lookup.
countsAsUnread in the no-ID branch of getFirstUnreadMessage does not exclude messages from users the current user has muted. A muted sender's message after lastRead can therefore be returned as the divider anchor, and it can count toward the loaded-unread total that decides whether the lookup stops early. Thread-only replies are not affected, because channel state excludes them before this lookup runs. Add a muted-sender check to countsAsUnread, matching MessageRules.canCountAsUnread.

Exclude senderless messages from the unread anchor lookup.
796-797: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Exclude senderless messages from the unread anchor lookup.
countsAsUnread in getFirstUnreadMessage does not reject messages without a sender. A loaded senderless system message after the last read point can therefore become the unread divider anchor and the jump target. The same lookup applies to both the timestamp branch and the last-read-ID branch. MessageRules.canCountAsUnread and the controller's _countsTowardsUnreadIndicators both reject senderless messages, so the anchor disagrees with the unread counters. Align the lookup with those rules after confirming how the server counts system messages as unread.

Filter silent and shadowed messages in the oldest-message fallback.
796-797: Minor · Functional Correctness · Low value
Filter silent and shadowed messages in the oldest-message fallback.
getOldestRegularMessage returns the first loaded message whose type is regular or reply. It does not skip silent or shadowed messages. It runs in two cases:
lastReadMessageId is non-null but missing from the loaded messages after top pagination ends.
There is no read state.
In the first case, the unread divider anchors to the returned message. The ID-based search excludes silent and shadowed messages, so the two paths disagree. The silent and shadowed checks belong in the fallback too.
Suggested fix
Message? getOldestRegularMessage() {
// Only return a message if we've loaded all previous messages.
if (!_topPaginationEnded) return null;
return messages.firstWhereOrNull(
- (it) => it.type == MessageType.regular || it.type == MessageType.reply,+ (it) =>+ (it.type == MessageType.regular || it.type == MessageType.reply) &&+ !it.silent &&+ !it.shadowed,
);

Add a partial-window silent-message case to the unread threshold tests.
The silent-message test loads both ordinary unread messages. The threshold passes whether or not silent messages count, so the test does not detect a change that counts silent messages in loadsAllUnread. Add a case where the loaded window starts after lastRead and only one ordinary unread message is loaded against unreadMessages: 2. The expected result is null. A change that counts the silent message would pass the threshold and return the ordinary message.
