The byte auditor now treats Git command failures as unavailable observations, checks that each manifest repository path is its own Git root, requires a valid commit and nonempty tracked-file enumeration, and blocks when a tracked path cannot be hashed as a regular file. Detached HEAD remains valid. Report version 1.1.0 retains existing fields and adds
git_root,unhashed_tracked_files, and explicit failure codes.Evidence

The workflow preserves exact per-repo commits and failure paths in logs even on a block..github/workflows/verify.yml(an existing byte-audit failure rule). Their Git trees show an absolute/workspaces/Riverbraid-Core/constitution.threshold.jsonsymlink and a gitlink/submodule. The original script silently skipped non-file or absent worktree paths; this patch exposes that missing coverage. No sibling repository was changed.Boundary
This is a tested source correction proposal, not a full Ring 2 PASS or adopted Core result. Leave the PR draft while the six Ring 2 byte findings and treatment of tracked symlinks/gitlinks are reviewed under their exact source/authority. No registry, Evaluation Kit, RB-IM-0006 operator, E39 authority, native result, F gate, or main branch is changed by this draft. Related documentary finding: Riverbraid-Documentation PR #29.
