LoanWindow::renewalCap()and helpers: these bound a renewal at the day before the first blocked day after the current due date. The cap travels asmax_extension_days/max_due_date/blocked_fromredirect params.CapacityService::firstCopyCommitmentAfter(): this names the day the loan's own copy is needed again. It is used for the per-copy overlap refusals inrenew(),bulkExtend()and NCIP.PrestitiController::renew(): it acceptsnew_due_date(ISO, after the current due date, within the standard renewal, checked again under the lock). Both refusals now carryloan_idplus the cap.bulkExtend():bulk_extend_conflictnow names the loan that stopped the batch and how far that loan could go.- Loans list and book page: both show the cap sentence and a one-click "Rinnova fino al D" form.

The French sentence said "retour avant le D", which excludes the day the server still accepts; "retour au plus tard le D" includes it, as the Italian "entro il" does. The two database-backed suites now pin the default and maximum loan durations for the run and restore the installation's values in their cleanup, so they no longer depend on what the environment configures. The browser spec snapshots the title's derived columns and restores them, since an auto-approved request recomputes them.

version.json goes to 0.8.7, with a CHANGELOG section and a README highlight for the PHP security notice (fabiodalez-dev#491) and the four merged PRs (fabiodalez-dev#490, fabiodalez-dev#492, fabiodalez-dev#493, fabiodalez-dev#494). The dynamic version badge stays as it is, and 0.8.6 moves into the list of earlier highlights. Desiderata 1.2.1 and Mobile API 1.8.2 now require 0.8.7: both call CopyRepository::inventoryBase(), which this release adds, so a plugin ZIP installed on an older core would activate and then fail on the first copy it creates.

version.json goes to 0.8.8 with a CHANGELOG section and a README highlight for the commit that reached fabiodalez-dev#490 and fabiodalez-dev#493 after 0.8.7 was cut: the French loan-window sentences say "au plus tard" so they include the return day, and the loan-window suites pin the loan durations they rely on. 0.8.7 moves into the list of earlier highlights. No migration, no plugin change.

A renewal that crossed a scheduled loan or a reservation on every copy was refused with "Impossibile rinnovare: un altro prestito o prenotazione occupa il periodo richiesto" on every surface (admin renew, bulk extension, Mobile API staff renew, NCIP RenewItem), and there was no way to renew for the days that were actually free.

The renewal limit now combines book capacity with commitments on the assigned copy before proposing a date, consistently in individual renewals, bulk extensions and NCIP. Out-of-range renewal dates now have a dedicated internal outcome and localized explanation on both web views and in the 422 API response. Renewal buttons and explanations share one locale-aware date formatter. Overdue bulk-extension caps count from today and never propose a past due date, including conflicts that already began. NCIP describes a conflicting commitment without falsely claiming that every copy is occupied.
The renewal suite passes 33 checks, including API error messages, five locales, actual NCIP ProblemDetail and overdue bulk extensions. All 12 selected renewal/API/NCIP regression suites pass. This branch also includes the latest #490 fixes; renewal refusal details use its bounded first-conflict lookup. All verified inline findings are resolved. CI workflows have been dispatched again for the current head; results remain pending.
